Epson Printers are to be accredited with the Energy Saving Reccomended Logo

by Pete on May 20, 2008

Most people are aware of the Energy Savings Reccommended Labels ( ESR ) on products such as fridges, washing machines and light bulbs and look for the ESR label when considering purchasing these goods. Now for the first time the Logo will be seen on Epson Inkjet Printers.

The Energy Saving Reccomended labelling scheme has established a new product endorsement category namely imaging equipment. This category covers inkjet printers, inkjet multi-function devices ( MFD ) and photo printers.

Frances Galvanoni from the Energy Saving Trust says  “Epson Printers are the first inkjet printer to be accreddited to the Energy Saving Reccomended scheme. The Energy Saving Reccomended Logo is a  widely recognised benchmark for excellence in energy conservation and highlights the most energy efficiant products in the market place. We urge other manufacturers to follow Epsons Lead and get their products accredited in order to give consumers more energy efficiant options.”
